Vegetable-tanned leather dog collar

This collar is designed for dogs with a neck size of between 45 and 49 cm. I made it from natural vegetable-tanned leather, which I then embossed to obtain the pretty hearts, and finally dyed and nourished as it should be. I then sewed it by hand, using a saddle stitch and matching waxed linen thread, adding a small padded lining for the animal's comfort. This collar has a sliding steel (nickel-free) martingale that turns it into a semi-choke collar. Some dogs need this safety feature, especially those that 'fox', i.e. those that tend to back away from their collar (I've experienced it!). The collar is 25 mm wide.
